Meeting Minutes
June 27, 2012
Opening:
The regular meeting of the Paris Public Library Advisor Board was called to order at 4:05 pm on June 27,
2012 in the Library Gallery by Linda Vandiver.
Present:
Pat Books, Deborah Hatley, Hilda Mallory, Fran Neeley, Ann Norment, Linda Vandiver, Alice Woodard,
and Library Director Priscilla McAnally.
A. Approval of Minutes
The minutes of the previous meeting were unanimously approved as distributed_
B. New Business
The Board was introduced to new member, Ann Norment.
C. Old Business
No items for discussion
D. Presentations
a. Budget Report
Director reported an expenditure of 64% of the annual budget
b. Statistical Report
Circulation as well as visits to the library, were up from last year's data.
E. Friends of the Library
Amanda Green, Co- Chairman of the Friends group, reported that monies from the Friends'
budget would be used to purchase hats as a reward for children participating in the summer
children's reading program.
Plans are also underway for the purchase of board books for a new toddler reading
program. The books would be used as incentive for participating families to read with their young
children.
Refurbishment for the exterior drop -box was discussed_
F. Director's Remarks
One -Click Digital, the online resource for download of audio books, will make a -books available
for patrons beginning with the last quarter.
Expendable funds - $84,532.00
Non - Expendable funds - $78,058.00
New City Manager, John Godwin, hopes tol attend the July meeting of the Library Advisory Board
New City Council Liaison will be Dr. Richard Grossnicklel

pm on July 18, 2012 in the Library Gallery.
