Meeting Minutes
July 18, 2012
Opening:
The regular meeting of the Paris Public Library Advisory Board was called to order at
4:05 p.m. on July 18, 2012, in the office of the Director by Linda Vandiver..
Present:
Pat Books, Hilda Mallory, Fran Neeley, Alice Woodard, Linda Vandiver, and Library
Director Priscilla McAnally.
A. Approval of Minutes
The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as distributed.
B. New Business
Officers for the coming year were elected. They are Linda Vandiver as Chair, Deborah
Hatley as Vice - Chair, and Alice Woodard as Secretary.
C. Old Business
No items for discussion.
D. Presentations
a. Budget Report
While the Library is over budget in some lines, overall it is still within the budget
for the year.
b. Statistical Report
Circulation and library visits were down last month from the same time last year.
E. Friends of the Library
The director reported that the curbside book drop will be refurbished (with the
Friends covering the cost) as soon as a painter /repairman can be found.
F. Director's Remarks
The Director will apply to the Texas State Library for a subsidy for the courier
service that is used for Interlibrary Loans. OneClick Digital, the online source for
the download of audio books, is up and running. A demonstration of the
Library's e- Resources will be presented at the next meeting.
The Director is considering a display of authors from East Texas from the
Humanities Texas organization. The cost will be $500.

Meeting was adjourned at 4:45 by Linda Vandiver. The next general meeting will be at 4
p.m. on August 15, 2012, in the Library Gallery. .
