April 20, 2011
The Paris Public Library Advisory Board met Wednesday, April 20, 2011, at 4 p.m. in the Library Gallery. In
the absence of Chairman Bill Kennedy, Vice -Chair Linda Vandiver called the meeting to order. Others
attending were Deborah Hatley, Debbie Anderson, Eddie Poole, and Library Director Priscilla McAnally.
Minutes from the previous meeting were approved as printed.
The proposed budget for 2011 -2012, aside from a $2000 increase to fund new furniture for the public access
computers, is essentially the same as this year's budget.
The budget report and statistical reports for March showed nothing unusual. The Friends of the Library reported
a profit of $2,254 from the luncheon. There are still some autographed copies of Ms. Kent's book available. The
Friends paid for two of the four new chairs in the periodicals section of the library. They will be promoting the
library's summer reading activities at Aikin Elementary during the school's spring book fair.
Due to conflicts in scheduling, the May Library Board meeting will be moved to the 25th and the June meeting
to the 22nd.
There being no further business on the agenda, the meeting was adjourned at 4:25 p.m.
