Minutes - July 21, 2010
The Paris Public Library Advisory Board met Wednesday, July 21, 2010, at 4 p.m. in the library gallery. In the
absence of Chairman Bill Kennedy, Vice -Chair Linda Vandiver presided. Others in attendance were Debbie
Anderson, Hilda Mallory, Eddie Poole, and Director Priscilla McAnally.
Minutes from the previous meeting were approved as printed.
The downloadable music is doing well on the website. Fifty -five songs a week are available, and they are being
used. Eighteen patrons have signed up for the downloadable audio books. Sign -up for the books must be done
on a library computer, but access thereafter may be accomplished from any computer. The limit on the books is
ten at a time, and they are checked out for three weeks.
There were three "Cure a Fine" certificates given away in the blood drive. Eight pints of blood were collected.
The statistical report is up slightly over last year. Balances in the trust funds are $78,053.68 in the permanent
fund and $82,911.83 in the expendable fund. The memorial donations fund stands at $38,000.
There being no further business on the agenda, the meeting was adjourned at 4:30 p.m.
