Chairman Bill Kennedy called the meeting to order at 4 p.m. in the Library Gallery. Members attending were
Linda Vandiver, Hilda Mallory, and Debbie Anderson. Library Director Priscilla McAnally also attended.
Minutes from the previous meeting were approved as printed.
There was about $7000 left at the end of July in the book budget. The Director has been selecting replacement
books with that money. Next year's budget will be about $15,000 less than this year's.
Circulation and visits were down slightly from July 2009. New cards and internet usage were up. The
downloadable music and book programs are being used more and more as word of their availability spreads.
The Friends of the Library will be buying a laptap for use with the elmo to show dvd's, movies, and PowerPoint
presentations.

Next years Star Libraries grant will be for $8,428. Part of that will be used for the interlibrary loan courier
service. We are open to suggestions for other projects.
The Director has started weeding in the Children's section, especially those books for which we have multiple
copies. Hargis Electric will begin replacing some of the lights at the end of the month. Funding for this project
will include some money moved from the Spanish book collection as those books are not circulating well.
There being no further business on the agenda, the meeting was adjourned at 4:20 p.m.
