1. Call meeting to order- Vice chairman, Britin Bostick 4:00 p.m.

3. Approval of April 2012 minutes - approved by Britin Bostick, seconded by Casey Ressler
4. Main Street Managers report
Clarksville street project: will begin next week after Atmos completes their work. They will place a
bore pit as the first step. Project expected to take 12 weeks. Contractor will be moving side by side
down the street replacing sidewalk. City of Pari is already working towards next grant.
American Heart walk - Market Square. 75 participants, a successful event. March of dimes walk at the
same time as well as prayer walk.
Farmers market opening. 14 vendors at opening day. Produce, wine, pottery. Kelly's will not be
participating this year. 8 to noon every Saturday. Please come and bring your friends. Wonderful!
Preservation Proclamation and Peristyle dedication. Sunday 20, 1:00. Come and bring a picnic
lunch. Opening words Shawn Napier, Reverend Charlotte Coyle, 2010 Leadership group. History of
the Peristyle will be presented. There will be a dedication for Lyle Vermillion, part of the restoration
team. There will be speakers from the city council and the city.
5. Committee reports
A. Organization. Moving closer to the website launch. Hopefully by June.
B. Design. Assessed the downtown buildings and their needs and will be assembling a report.
C. Promotion. Movies in the park will be starting Thursday nights in June and July.
D. Economic Restructuring - business survey under review. Trying to promote available resources
to downtown businesses.
E. Historic Preservation Commission- approved proclamation for Mr. Vermillion. Signage
approval for Bonham street funeral home.
6. Request for future agenda items.
Discuss the need for a Downtown restroom facility. Issues to address are the accessibility of the
restroom, potential getting PJC parking lot building, maintenance, utilities.
Moving forward with cleanup of the Grand Theatre now that it has been video documented.
Festival of Pumpkins planning has begun and we have begun thinking about the dog dash.
