REGULAR MEETING
CITY OF PARIS HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION
WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 9, 2011
12:00 O'CLOCK P.M.
1. The Historic Preservation Commission meeting was called to order by Arvin Starrett,
Chairman at 12:00 p.m.
A. The following members were present:
Arvin Starrett, Chairman
Paul Denney, Vice - Chairman
Douglas Cox
Ben Vaughan
Nancy Anderson
David Stewart
B. The following members were absent:
Britin Bostick
C. Also present Cheri Bedford, Main Street Manager.
2. Consideration of and action on the, following Certificate of Appropriateness:
B. 400 Church Street — Petition was withdrawn.
C. 442 South Main Street — Jedediah Irwin presented the petition. Motion was made
by Ben Vaughan, seconded by Paul Denney to approve the COA as ordinary
maintenance. Motion carried 6 -0.
E. 746 South Church — Doug Hines presented the petition. Motion was made by Ben
Vaughan, seconded by Paul Denney to approve the COA. Motion carried 6 -0.
D. 39 Lamar Avenue — Richard Dixon presented the petition. Motion was made by
Paul Denney, seconded by Douglas Cox to approve the COA. Motion carried 6 -0.
A. 208 South Main — No one presented the petition. Motion was made by David
Stewart, seconded by Paul Denney to approve the COA subject to the paint color being
black, white or the color of the Gibraltar fence. Motion carried 6 -0.
3. Consideration of and action on the following Fagade Grant_
A. 442 South Main Street — Motion was made by Ben Vaughan, seconded by
Douglas Cox to approve the Fagade Grant.
Future agenda items. There were none.
