B. Pre - construction meeting for the runway overlay project.
Shawn Napier stated the pre - construction meeting will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday in
the Airport Conference room, if any board members would like to attend. They
will be discussing the times and dates for construction to start, also Bob Jutton
with KSA will be sending in all the documents to FAA on runway closure dates.
A. Update on Master Plan status.
Shawn Napier stated spoke with Coffman and Associates and they are finishing up
the airport layout plan in order to send it in to TXDOT Aviation and then to the
FAA. They will then send us hard copies of the Master Plan along with an
electronic copy to post on the website; we are looking to receive all the
information in about three weeks.
C. Phase 11 Airport improvements
Shawn Napier stated the estimate came in and we will have to fund with
TXDOT and their regional budget will be $1,530,000, the City will be responsible
for 10% of that. We are currently under budget for the runway project; TXDOT
Aviation is showing us to have a credit of $88,000. The $153,000 less the $88,000
credit at TXDOT will be a lot less money we have to actually to come up with.
