2004-054-ORD PROVIDING EXTENSION OF CERTAIN BOUNDARY LIMITS OF COP AND ANNEXATION OF 8.448 ACRES '" ORDINANCE NO. 2004-054 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING FOR THE EXTENSION OF CERTAIN BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY CONSISTING OF 8.448 ACRES, MORE OR LESS, AS REQUESTED BY PETITION OF THE OWNERS THEREOF; GRANTING TO SAID TERRITORY AND TO ALL FUTURE INHABITANTS OF SAID PROPERTY ALL OF THE RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES OF OTHER CITIZENS AND BINDING SAID FUTURE INHABIT ANTS BY ALL OF THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PARIS; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELA.TED TO THE SUBJECT; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF , ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, said petition was presented to the City Council on the 11 th day of October, 2004; and, WHEREAS, after hearing such petition and the arguments for and against the same, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 2004-190 granting such petition to annex said territory into the city of Paris, Texas; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this ordinance are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. That the City Clerk be, and she is hereby, directed to file with the County Clerk of Lamar County, Texas, a certified copy of this Ordinance accompanied by a copy ofthe Petition for Annexation.
