MINUTES OF THE EMERGENCY SPECIAL MEETING OF THE PARIS
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION
October 27, 2003
The Paris Economic Development Corporation met in a emergency special
meeting on October 27, 2003, 4:00 P.M., at Paris Junior College, Bobby R.
Walters Applied Technology Building, Room 1.206, 2400 Clarksville Street,
Paris, Texas. President Wall called the meeting to order with the following
Directors present: Sims Norment and Rodney Bass. Also, present were Executive
Director Gary Vest, Ex-officio Members Tanis Hager, Mayor Curtis Fendley,
City Manager. Michael E. Malone, City Attorney Larry W. Schenk, and City
Clerk Mattie Cunningham.
President Wall announced that the Paris Economic Development Board would go
into executive session at 4:09 P.M., in accordance with Section 55.087 of the
Open Meetings Act to discuss the status of or possible incentives, pending
negotiations, and commercial or financial information from business prospects
and potential financing for the following:
A. Possible Campbell Soup expansion.
B. Project Reserve.
At 5:21 P.M. Director Wall declared the executive session closed and the special
meeting back in session.
No action was required on Agenda Item No. 3, consideration of and action on
possible incentives for the possible expansion of Campbell Soup.
No action was. required on Agenda Item No. 4, consideration of and action on
possible incentives for Project Reserve.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
