ZONING COMMISSION
FEBRUARY 9, 2004
The Planning and Zoning Commission met Monday, February 9, 2004, 5:00
P.M., Paris Junior College, Bobby R. Walters Applied Technology Building,
Room 1206, 2400 Clarksville Street, Paris, Texas with the following members
present:

Steve Metheven, the Building Official was also present.
The meeting was called to order by Reeves Hayter.

Waiver request for curb and gutter, Joe Chamy, Paris Retirement
Village, 1400 W. Washington Street.
Motion was made to approve the variance request on curb and gutter
by Brad Archer seconded by Carl Lucas. Motion carried by a vote of
6 ayes and 0 nays.
Consideration of and action on the Replat, Lots 1 and 2, Simpson Place
Subdivision (CB 226), being the 600 Block SE 21St Street.
Motion was made to approve the replat by Brad Archer seconded by
Carl Lucas, subject to the City Engineer's Memo dated January 29,
2004. Motion carried by a vote of 5 ayes and 1 nay.
Consideration of and action on the Replat, Lots 4, 5, 6, and 7, City
Block 248, being the 1800 Block Clarksville Street.
Motion was made to approve the replat by Bobby Myers seconded by
Carl Lucas, subject to the City Engineer's Memo dated January 30,
2004. Motion carried by a vote of 6 ayes and 0 nays.

4. Consideration of and action on the Final Plat, The Hills Subdivision,
Phase IV.
Motion was made to approve the final plat by Marshall Kent seconded
by Bobby Myers, subject to the City Engineer's Memo dated February
29 2004. Motion carried by a vote of 6 ayes and 0 nays.
5. Consideration of and action on the Preliminary Plat, Saint Paul Baptist
Church, Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 26A, 27, 28, 29, 30, City Block 59, being the 400
Block of 2 "d Street NE.
Motion was made to approve the preliminary plat by Carl Lucas
seconded by Bobby Myers, subject to the City Engineer's Memo dated
January 29, 2004. Motion carried by a vote of 6 ayes and 0 nays.
Motion was made to excuse Reeves Hayter from consideration on the
next item. Motion was made by Brad Archer seconded by Carl Lucas.
Motion carried by a vote of 5 ayes and 0 nays.
6. Consideration of and action on the Final Plat, Hilltop Subdivision,
being the 2400 Block of East Cherry.
Motion was made to approve the final plat by Brad Archer seconded by
Barbara Forrest, subject to the City Engineer's Memo dated February
2, 2004. Motion carried by a vote of 5 ayes and 0 nays.
Motion was made for Reeves Hayter to return to the meeting by Carl
Lucas seconded by Barbara Forrest. Motion carried by a vote of 5 ayes
and 0 nays.
7. Consideration of and action on the Preliminary Plat, Pathway Church
of God, Lot 4, City Block 351, being the 3800 Block of SE Loop 286.

Motion was made to approve the preliminary plat by Carl Lucas
seconded by Bobby Myers, subject to the City Engineer's Memo dated
January 21, 2004. Motion carried by a vote of 6 ayes and 0 nays.
8. Consideration of and action on the Preliminary Plat, Lots 1, 2, 3, House
Addition (CB 218 -A), being the 1300 Block of West Austin.
Motion was made to approve the preliminary plat by Carl Lucas
seconded by Barbara Forrest, subject to the City Engineer's Memo
dated January 21, 2004. Motion carried by a vote of 6 ayes and 0 nays.
9. Consideration of and action on the Preliminary Plat, Parr -Hull Medical
Plaza and Medical Center, Lot 1, being the 3600 Block of North Main.
Motion was made to approve the preliminary plat by Carl Lucas
seconded by Bobby Myers, subject to the City Engineer's Memo dated
February 2, 2004. Motion carried by a vote of 6 ayes and 0 nays.
