AIRPORT ADVISORY BOARD
COX FIELD TERMINAL
MONDAY, FEBRUARY 5, 2001
6:00 O'CLOCK P.M.
I. The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Victor Abeles, the Presiding
Officer.
II. A. The minutes of the April 27, 2000, Special Meeting were read and
approved by unanimous vote. There was no quorum for the November
28, 2000, Regular Meeting so no action nor minutes were taken. The
City Council approved airport permits on the Agenda for that meeting

III. Airport development needs regarding TxDot letter: See Attachment #1.
Items #1 and #2 are current needs that should be completed first. Items 3 and
10 have been accomplished to some degree. The city desires to overlay RW4
17 -35 to increase load bearing capacity to take care of operations for the next
decade. The board recommended approval of the ten items by unanimous
vote.
IV. Status of Rebid on Hangar H: On February 12, 2001, the city will go to council
for approval to bid on a hangar lease for Hangar H. The board recommends
the lease include the requirement that an Aircraft and Power Plant Mechanic
be on duty daily.
V. TxDot Aviation Regional Planning Meeting - March 29, 2001: Meeting to be

held at the Lamar County Chamber of Commerce at 9 A.M., March 28.
Members are encouraged to attend. The public is invited.
