AIRPORT ADVISORY BOARD

1. The Airport Advisory Board Meeting was called to order by Victor
Abeles at 6:00 P.M.
A. The following members were present:

II. The Minutes of the November 20, 2001, meeting had been
distributed to the directors with their agenda. A motion was made
by J. B. Richey, seconded by Vic Ressler, and unanimously
approved to accept the minutes as presented.
III. Status of the 8" Water Line Project:
Mr. Haynes reported that Barney Bray Construction had the low bid.
The contract is to be signed after the first of the year. The
preconstruction meeting and notice to proceed will be held after the
first of the year. The low bid was $46,826.00.

IV. Discussion and Consideration of Recommendation to Amend the
Private Hangar Policy Now in Effect:
Eric Clifford moved to table this item; seconded by Victor Abeles and
passed unanimously.
V. Status of New Hangar Construction:
Mr. Haynes reported hangars are in final stage of construction. Two
inch asphalt layer to be completed as soon as weather permits; may
be laid on December 19. Punch list will be developed and
construction will be finished shortly.
VI. Discussion and Recommendation Regarding Tenant Policy for New
Hangars:
After discussion of various options, the board recommends to the city
council the following:
Eric Clifford moved to award hangars according to the closed
waiting list; motion seconded by J.B. Richey and passed by a
vote of five to two. Mr. Ashmore and Mr. Proctor voted against
the proposal.
VII. Recommended Agenda Items for the Next Board Meeting:
A. Discussion and consideration of recommendation to amend the
private hangar policy now in effect.
B. Raised concrete floors for hangars 7, 9, 11, 13 (bi -fold door
hangars) by 3" to allow for drainage when it rains.
C. Report of January 14, 2002, Council decision on tenant policy
for new hangars.
IX. The meeting was adjourned at 6:45 p.m.
