2005-003-ORD AMENDMENT OF TRAFFICE CONTROL MAP ESTABLISHING A NEW NO PARKING AREA AND A NEW PARKING AREA ON 3RD NW
ORDINANCE NO. 2005-003
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PARIS BE AMENDED BY
REVISING THE NO-PARKING AREA OF THE TRAFFIC
CONTROL MAP ADOPTED IN PARAGRAPH (b) OF SECTION
31-65 OF SAID CODE; ESTABLISHING A NEW NO PARKING
AREA AND A NEW PARKING AREA ON 3RD STREET N.W.;
PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $200.00;
MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO
THE SUBJECT; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS
OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF FEBRUARY 1,
2005.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
PARIS, TEXAS:
Section 1. That the fmdings set out in the preamble to this ordinance are hereby
in all things approved.
Section 2. That the No Parking area of the Traffic Control Map adopted in
Paragraph (b) of Section 31-65 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris,
Texas, be, and the same is hereby, amended to include the following No Parking area:
"On the East side of 3rd Street N.W. from the North curb line of
Houston Street going North to the South curb line of Graham
Street. "
Section 3. That the Parking area of the Traffic Control Map adopted in
Paragraph (b) of Section 31-65 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris,
Texas, be, and the same is hereby, amended to include the following Designated
Parking area:
"On the West side of 3rd Street N.W., from the North curb line of
Houston Street to the South curb line of Graham Street and moving
dividing center stripe to allow for the parking spaces."
Section 4. That any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance
shall be guilty of a Misdemeanor, and, upon conviction, shall be fmed in any sum not
to exceed $200.00.
Section 5. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are
hereby expressly repealed.
Section 6. That this ordinance shall be effective on February 1,2005.
