SUBJECT: LAND DONATION OFFER

BACKGROUND: A property owner on 12th Street NW has offered several times to donate a
small lot to the city.
STATUS OF ISSUE: Although this lot is close to our new West Paris Trial, it is not adjacent to
the trail, and could not be used in conjunction with it. By assuming ownership, we would simply
take over another vacant lot for which we would have full -time maintenance responsibility.
BUDGET: Would require routine costs for upkeep, and also take this property off the tax roll.
RECOMMENDATION: Do not accept donation.
