Board of Directors Meeting
April 19, 2017
4:00 pm
Members Present: Bryan Hargis, Chad Lee Johnston, Jeff Martin, Gail Dority, Tony Corso, Derald Bulls, Mike Patel, James
Wyatt, Jeff Nutt and Lisa Walker.
Staff Present: Ken Higdon, Gina Crawford, and Becky Semple.
Lisa Walker called the meeting to order at 4:00 pm.
A motion to approve the March minutes was made by Chadlee Johnston, seconded by James Wyatt. Motion passed
unanimously.
A motion to approve the financials was made by Tony Corso, seconded by Chadlee Johnston. Motion passed unanimously.
A funding request from TXDOT Centennial and Banquet was presented. They were asking for $400. A motion to approve $400
was made by Lisa Walker, seconded by Chadlee Johnston. Motion passed unanimously.
A funding request from Dixie Youth Baseball tournaments was presented. They were asking for $2500, for each tournament. A
motion to approve $1975, per tournament was made by Tony Corso, seconded by Chadlee Johnston. Motion passed
unanimously.
A funding request from Paris League District Tournament was presented. They were asking for $1000. A motion to approve
$850 was made by Derald Bulls, seconded by Gail Dority. Motion passed unanimously
A funding request from Paris Balloon and Music Festival was presented. They were asking for $2500. A motion to approve
$2075 was made by Gail Dority, seconded by Mike Patel. Motion passed unanimously
Becky Semple gave the directors report. She reported about the past and upcoming events. We had 1575 archers including
vendors this year. Becky Semple also stated that a new motorcycle group wants to make Paris its home for their annual
convention.
Ken Higdon stated that we have several people to talk with about the VCC position and we will start interviewing soon. He also
stated that the bicycles have been ordered and should be here by May. It was also stated that we will do a media campaign to
advertise the bikes. Lastly, he reported that Lalonna West resigned and we will be looking for a new board member.
Next meeting will be on May 17, 2017
With nothing further, meeting was adjourned at 4:51 pm.
