1999-012-LOT 16B, CITY BLOCK 102 BID AWARDED, RES 97-079 RESOLUTION NO. 99-012 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 14th day of July, 1997, in Resolution No. 97-079, declare surplus and authorize the sale of Lot 16B, City Block 102, located at 36 16th Street S.E., Paris, Texas; and, WHEREAS, bids for said property were received until 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 2, 1999, and the highest bid by a responsible bidder was from Philip M. Wells and Sybil K. Colson in the amount of $2,013.00; and, WHEREAS, the form of the general warranty deed to Philip M. Wells and Sybil K. Colson for the conveyance of said Lot 16B, City Block 102, attached hereto as Exhibit A, should, in all things, be approved, and the Mayor, Charles H. Neeley, should be authorized to execute the same upon the date of closing, which shall occur no sooner than thirty (30) days from the date of passage of this resolution in accordance with Section 145 of the Charter of the City of Paris; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that the bid of Philip M. Wells and Sybil K. Colson in the amount of $2,013.00 for Lot 16B, City Block 102, located at 36 16th Street S.E., Paris, Texas, be, and the same is hereby, accepted and let; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the form of the General Warranty Deed to Philip M. Wells and Sybil K. Colson, attached hereto as Exhibit A, be, and the same is hereby, approved; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor, Charles H. Neeley, be and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of the City of Paris, the General Warranty Deed to Philip M. Wells and Sybil K. Colson, under the terms and conditions and in the form shown in Exhibit A, attached hereto, upon the date of closing, which shall occur no sooner than thirty (30) days from the date of passage of this resolution in accordance with Section 145 of the Charter of the City of Paris.
