1999-030-PARIS PUBLIC LIBRARY ADVISORY BOARD AMENDING BYLAWS RESOLUTION NO. qq-n~n WHEREAS, the Paris Public Library Advisory Board is desirous of amending its Bylaws by adding a sentence to paragraph one, under Officers and Members, to provide that no member shall serve more than two (2) consecutive full terms; and, WHEREAS, the Board has requested the City Council of the City of Paris to approve said amendment, and it is deemed appropriate that the same be approved; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that the amendment of paragraph one, under Officers and Members, of the Bylaws of the Paris Public Library Advisory Board be, and the same is hereby, approved so that the such shall read as follows: "OFFICERS AND MEMBERS "1. The Advisory Board shall have nine members, serving three-year terms. Three members shall complete their full terms of office each year. No member shall serve more than two consecutive full terms. Should a vacancy occur, the person appointed shall serve out the incomplete term. The Advisory Board shall make recommendations to the Paris City Council for the appointment and reappointment of member s to the Advisory Board, and for Lay Representatives to the Northeast Texas Library System."
