1999-031-LAUNDRY FACILITIES FOR THE GEORGE W. WRIGHT HOMES, CONTRACT NO. 715246 RESOLUTION NO. 99-031 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 23rd day of . November, 1996, in Resolution No. 96-029, authorize three (3) applications to be made to the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs for the Community Development Fund Grant under the Young vs. Cisneros Texas Community Development Program (TCDP) for three (3) projects, one of which is the procurement of property and the construction of a laundry facilities for the George W. Wright Homes; and, WHEREAS, said grant was awarded on the 24th day of September, 1996, by the execution of TCDP Young vs. Cisneros Contract No. 715246; and, WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore authorize the preparation of plans and specifications for the laundry facilities; and, WHEREAS, such plans and specifications have been prepared by Earl S. Smith, City Engineer, with the title being given thereto of "Laundry Facilities for the George W. Wright Homes, Housing Authority of the City of Paris, Young vs. Cisneros Contract No. 715246" Project, which plans and specifications are recommended for approval by the City Engineer of the City of Paris; and, WHEREAS, it is deemed appropriate that such plans and specifications be approved, and such project should be authorized for advertisement for bids; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that the plans and specifications for the "Laundry Facilities for the George W. Wright Homes, Housing Authority of the City of Paris, Young vs. Cisneros Contract No. 715246" Project be, and the same are hereby, approved; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that such construction project be advertised for bids to be received, after due notice, at the office of the City Manager of the City of Paris, City Hall, 135 1st Street S.E., Paris, Texas 75460, until 3:00 o'clock p.m. on Tuesday, March 30, 1999, at which time said bids will be opened in the City Council Chamber, City Hall, 135 1st Street S.E., Paris, Lamar County, Texas, and said bids will be tabulated and presented to the City Council on the 6th day of April, 1999, for the purpose of letting such bid.
