1999-040-GATEWAY PROJECT BID ADVERTISEMENT, RES 98-105
RESOLUTION NO.

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 10th day of
August, 1998, in Resolution 98-105, approve the City of Paris' participation in the Gateway
Project; and,
WHEREAS, plans and specifications for the project have been prepared by Earl S. Smith,
City Engineer, with the title being given thereto of "Gateway Project," which plans and
specifications are recommended for approval by the City Engineer of the City of Paris; and,
WHEREAS, it is deemed appropriate that such plans and specifications be approved and
that such project be authorized for advertisement for bids; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that the
plans and specifications for the Gateway Project be, and the same are hereby, approved; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that such construction project be advertised for bids to
be received after due notice at the office of the City Manager of the City of Paris, City Hall, 135
1st Street S.E., Paris, Texas 75460, until 3:00 o'clock p.m. on Tuesday, May 4, 1999, at which
time said bids will be opened in the City Council Chamber, City Hall, 135 1st Street S.E., Paris,
Lamar County, Texas, and bids will be tabulated and presented to the City Council on the lOth
day of May, 1999, for the purpose of letting such bid.
