1999-111-CORRECTION DEED TO FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH OF PARIS, INC
RESOLUTION NO. 99-111
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 14th day of June,
1999, in Resolution No. 99-060-A, authorize the execution of a Special Warranty Deed to First
United Methodist Church of Paris, Inc. conveying 4th Street S.E. from the North Boundary Line
of Clarksville Street to the South Boundary Line of Lamar Avenue; and,
WHEREAS, the deed conveying said property incorrectly retained easements across the
property and should, therefore, be corrected by the Correction Deed, the form of which is
attached hereto as Exhibit A, and the Mayor, Charles Neeley, should be authorized to execute the
same; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that form
of the Correction Deed to First United Methodist Church of Paris, Inc. conveying 4th Street S.E.
from the North Boundary Line of Clarksville Street to the South Boundary Line of Lamar Avenue,
attached hereto as Exhibit A, be, and the same is hereby, approved; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor, Charles H. Neeley, be, and he is
hereby, authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of the City of Paris, the Correction Deed,
under the terms and conditions and in the form shown in Exhibit A, attached hereto.

COUNTY OF LAMAR
That, WHEREAS, the CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, as grantor did, on or about the
14th day of June, 1999, execute and deliver to First Uniled Methodist Church of Paris, Inc., as
grantee, for the consideration therein mentioned, a conveyance of the certain lands situated in
Lamar County, Texas, and hereinafter more particularly described, which said conveyance is
recorded in Volume 902, Page 315, Real Propefty Recofds, Lamar County, Texas; and,
WHEREAS, in said conveyance, by mistake, easements over and across said property were
incorrectly reserved; and, WHEREAS, to prevent difficulties hereafter, it is expedient to correct
said error;
Now, therefore, the CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, a municipal corporation of the
County of Lamar, State of Texas, acting by and through its Mayor Pro Tern, Mary Ann Fisher,
duly authorized by Resolution No. 99-060-A, for and in consideration of the sum of Ten and
nollOO Dollars ($10.00) cash and othef good and valuable consideration to it in hand paid by First
United Methodist Church of Paris, Inc., the receipt and sufficiency of which is hereby
acknowledged; has Granted, Sold, and Conveyed, and by these presents does Grant, Sell, and

Convey unto the said First United Methodist Church of Paris, Inc. of the County of Lamar, State
of Texas, whose mailing address is 322 Lamar Avenue, Paris, Texas 75460, all that certain tract
or parcel ofland situated in Lamar County, Texas, and described as follows:
Situated within the Corporate Limits of the City of Paris, Lamar County,
Texas, and being described as follows:
BEGINNING at the northeast comer of the intersection of the east boundary
line of 4th Street S.E. and the south boundary line of U.S. Highway 82 (Lamar
Avenue);
EXHIBIT A
THENCE southerly with the east boundary line of 4th Street S.E. a distance
of approximately 216 feet, more or less, to a point in the north boundary line of
U.S. Highway 271 (Clarksville Street); .
THENCE westerly wilh the north boundary line of U.S. Highway 271
(Clarksville Street) a distance of approximately 40 feet, more or less, to a point in
the west boundary line of 4th Street S.E.;
THENCE northerly with the west boundary line of 4th Street S.E. a
distance of approximately 216 feet, more or less, to a point in the south boundary
line of U.S. Highway 82 (Lamar Avenue);
THENCE easterly with the south boundary line of U.S. Highway 82 (Lamar
Avenue) a distance of approximately 40 feet, more or less, to the place of
beginning.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the above-described premises, together with all and singular,
the rights and appurtenances therelo in anywise belonging unto the said First United Methodist
Church of Paris, Inc., its successors and assigns forever; and it does hereby bind itself, its
successors and assigns, to Warrant and Forever Defend all and singular Ihe said premises unto the
said First United Methodist Church of Paris, Inc., its successors and assigns, against every person
whomsoever lawfully claiming, or to claim the same, or any part thereof, by, through or under
it, but not otherwise.
This is a correction deed given and accepted as such in substitution for such earlier deed
dated June 14, 1999, and it shall be effectual as of, and relroactive to, such date. However, except
as herein corrected, such original deed shall remain in full force and effect.
