1999-126-BIDS FOR PARK STREET EXTENSION TO SERVE WAREHOUSE DISTRIBUTION FACILITY FOR PEDC
RESOLUTION NO. 99-126
WHEREAS, the Paris Economic Development Corporation did heretofore, on the 7th day
of July, 1999, in PEDC Resolution No. 99-005, authorize an Incentive Agreement with Mark
Cunningham which authorized the preparation of plans and specifications for a project of
construction for the extension of Park Street from the end of the existing pavement, West a
distance of 600 feet; and,
WHEREAS, such plans and specifications have been prepared by the City Engineer, Earl
Smith, with the title being given thereto of "Park Street Extension to Serve Warehouse
Distribution Facility for Paris Economic Development Corporation" Project, which plans and
specifications are recommended for approval by the City Engineer of the City of Paris; and,
WHEREAS, it is deemed appropriate that such plans and specifications be approved, and
such project should be authorized for advertisement for bids; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that the
plans and specifIcations for the "Park Street Extension to Serve Warehouse Distribution
Facility for Paris Economic Development Corporation" Project, to be funded by the Paris
Economic Development Corporation, be, and the same are hereby, approved; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that such street extension project be advertised for bids
to be received after due notice at the office of the City Manager of the City of Paris, City Hall,
135 1st Street S.E., Paris, Texas 75460, until 3:00 o'clock p.m. on Friday, November 5, 1999,
at which time said bids will be opened in the City Council Chamber, City Hall, 135 1st Street
S.E., Paris, Lamar County, Texas, and bids will be tabulated and presented to the City Council
on the 8th day of November, 1999, for the purpose of letting such bid.
