RESOLUTION NO. 99-151
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS APPROVING PLANS
AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF FIRE STATION NUMBER
FOUR; AUTHORIZING THE ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR SAID
CONSTRUCTION; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE
SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council ofthe City of Paris did heretofore, on the 13th day of June,
1996, approve the Fire Service Plan for the City of Paris and Phase II of said Fire Service Plan,
which authorized the preparation of plans and specifications for a project of construction for Fire
Station Number Four; and,
WHEREAS, such plans and specifications have been prepared by Architect, Sam A.
Buzbee, with the title being given thereto of "Fire Station No. Four, Located at 24th Street S.E.
and Jefferson Road" Project, which plans and specifications are recommended for approval by the
City Engineer of the City of Paris; and,
WHEREAS, it is deemed appropriate that such plans and specifications be approved and
that such project be authorized for advertisement for bids; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS:
Section 1.
That the findings set out in the preamble of this resolution are hereby in all things
approved.
Section 2.
That the plans and specifications for "Fire Station No. Four, Located at 24th Street
S.E. and Jefferson Road" Project be, and the same is hereby, approved.
Section 3.
That such construction project be advertised for bids to be received after due notice
at the office of the City Manager of the City of Paris, City Hall, 135 1 st Street
S.E., Paris, Texas 75460, until 3:00 o'clock p.m. on Tuesday, January 25,2000,
at which time said bids will be opened in the City Council Chamber, City Hall, 135
1st Street S.E., Paris, Lamar County, Texas, and bids will be tabulated and
presented to the City Council on the 14th day of February, 2000, for the purpose
of letting such bid.
Section 4.
That this resolution shall be effective from and after the date of passage.
