RESOLUTION NO. 99-146
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS,
TEXAS, ACCEPTING A DONATION FROM WILLIAM deG. HAYDEN OF A BRONZE
BUST OF GEORGE W. WRIGHT, ACCOMPANIED BY A SPECIAL STEEL AND
GRANITE SHAFT AND HISTORICAL MARKER, TO BE PLACED BESIDE THE LAMAR
COUNTY HISTORICAL MUSEUM IN THE HERITAGE PARK COMPLEX; MAKING
OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND
DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris is in receipt of a donation from Dr.
William deG. Hayden of a bronze bust of George W. Wright, accompanied by a special steel and
granite shaft and historical marker, to be placed beside the Lamar County Historical Museum in the
Heritage Park Complex; and,
WHEREAS, the generosity of Dr. William DeG. Hayden is appreciated and it would be in
the best interests of the citizens of Paris to accept such donation; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
Section 1.
That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things
approved.
Section 2.
That the donation by Dr. William deG. Hayden of a bronze bust of George W.
Wright, accompanied by a special steel and granite shaft and historical marker, to be
placed beside the Lamar County Historical Museum in the Heritage Park Complex,
be, and the same is hereby, in all things accepted.
Section 3.
That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage.
