RESOLUTION NO. 2000-187
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
PARIS, TEXAS, REAPPOINTING DR. GORDON B. STROM, JR., DR.
CAROLINE WILSON, MRS. ROBERT NORMENT, DR. ED CLARK, AND
APPOINTING BYRON MUSE AS MEMBERS OF THE PARIS-LAMAR
COUNTY BOARD OF HEALTH; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND
PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the terms of office of Dr. Gordon B. Strom, Jr., Dr. Caroline Wilson, Mrs_
Robert Norment, Dr. Ed Clark, and Rev, Samuel Evans, as members of the Paris-Lamar County
Board of Health, will expire on December 31,2000; and,
WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Paris, with the advice of the County Judge of Lamar
County, Texas, does hereby recommend the reappointment of Dr. Gordon B, Strom, Jr" Dr. Caroline
Wilson, Mrs_ Robert Norment, Dr. Ed Clark, and the appointment of Byron Muse, for terms of two
(2) years, beginning January 1, 2001, and ending December 31,2002; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS,
TEXAS, AND THE COMMISSIONERS COURT OF THE COUNTY OF LAMAR:
Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things
approved,
Section 2. That Dr. Gordon B, Strom, Jr., Dr. Caroline Wilson, Mrs, Robert Norment, Dr.
Ed Clark, be, and they are hereby, reappointed, and Byron Muse be, and he is hereby, appointed to
serve as members of the Paris-Lamar County Board of Health for terms of two (2) years, beginning
January 1, 2001, and ending December 31,2002,
Section 3. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage.
