RESOLUTION NO. 2000-149
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
PARIS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A PURCHASE
ORDER FOR ONE (1) TOOL MASTER WHEEL LOADER AND
ACCOMPANYING GRAPPLE RAKE FOR THE STREET DIVISION OF
THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT THROUGH THE HOUSTON.
GALVESTON AREA COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS; MAKING OTHER
FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Paris has been a member of the Cooperative Purchasing Program
through the Houston-Galveston Area Council of Governments since October 1,1990; and,
WHEREAS, it is deemed appropriate that the City of Paris purchase a new Hyundai
HL740TM-3 Wheel Loader and accompanying Werk-Brau Model WL2GR102-H Grapple Rake for
the Street Division ofthe Public Works Department through said Houston-Galveston Area Council
of Governments; and,
WHEREAS, it is further deemed appropriate that the City Manager be authorized to execute
a purchase order for one (1) Hyundai HL740TM-3 Wheel Loader and accompanying Werk-Brau
Model WL2GRI02-H Grapple Rake for a total purchase price of $88,292.17, which represents the
cost ofthe wheel loader and grapple rake in the amount of $86,859.00, plus the cost of the Houston-
Galveston Area Council of Governments fee, which is $1,433.17; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS,
TEXAS:
Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things
approved.
Section 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute,
on behalf of the City of Paris, a purchase order for one (1) Hyundai HL740TM-3 Wheel Loader and
accompanying Werk-Brau Model WL2GR102-H Grapple Rake for the Street Division of the Public
Works Department, for a total purchase price of $88,292.17, which represents the cost of the wheel
loader and grapple rake in the amount of $86,859.00,plus the cost of the Houston-Galveston Area
Council of Governments fee, which is $1,433.17.
Section 3. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage.
