Item No. 8
memorandum
TO: City Council
John Godwin, City Manager
Brandon Chaney, R.P.L.S., Chaney Engineering, Inc.
FROM: Carla Easton, PE, City Engineer
Engineering and Community Development
SUBJECT: Al STOR-N-GO ADDITION CB 323
REPLAT
DATE: March 7, 2017
BACKGROUND: Brent Brady has completed the infrastructure for a storage unit development
on Lot 1 Block A of City Block 323 located on FM 79, called the Al Stor-N-Go Addition. The
original plat was approved by the Council on March 13, 2017. During construction, a change to
the utility plan was made to improve the City's water system, allowing the waterline to be looped
through the development and extended to the adjacent property. As such, the waterline and
utility easement will be dedicated to the City. The original plat has been amended to reflect the
utility change and dedications.
STATUS OF ISSUE: The developer has submitted a replat of the property, dedicating a 7.5'
utility easement and a 6" water main. It appears that the plat complies with the City of Paris
subdivision regulations.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the replat.
