2000-087-RES APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE LIBRARY ADVISORY
RESOLUTION NO. 2000-087
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
PARIS, TEXAS, APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE LIBRARY ADVISORY
BOARD OF THE CITY OF PARIS; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND
PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the terms of office of Mrs, Marvin Gibbs, John Howison, and Sarah
Gambill, as members of the Library Advisory Board of the City of Paris, will expire on June 30,
2000; and,
WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Paris, Michael J. Pfiester, does hereby recommend
the reappointments of John Howison and Sarah Gambill and the appointment of Fran Neeley for
terms of three (3) years, beginning July 1, 2000, and ending June 30, 2003; NOW,
THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS,
TEXAS:
Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in an
things approved.
Section 2. That John Howison and Sarah Gambill be, and they are hereby, reappointed,
and that Fran Neeley be, and she is hereby, appointed to serve as members of the Library
Advisory Board of the City of Paris for terms of three (3) years, beginning July 1, 2000, and
ending June 30, 2003.
Section 3. That this resolution shan be effective from and after its date of passage,
PASSED AND APPROVED this 12th day of June, 2000,
