A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
PARIS, TEXAS, SCHEDULING THE MEETING AT WHICH THE CITY
COUNCIL WILL VOTE ON THE TAX RATE FOR THE YEAR 2000;
MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE
SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 26.05(d) of the Property Tax Code of the State
of Texas, on September 13, 2000, a public hearing was held for the purpose of hearing the views
of proponents and opponents of the proposed tax rate required to fund and balance the City
Manager's proposed budget for fiscal year 2000-2001; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriate time for the meeting at which the City Council will vote on
the tax rate is found to be on the 26th day of September, 2000, at 6:00 p.m., at the Red River
Valley fairgrounds in the Community Exhibit Building, 590 E. Center Street, Paris, Texas; NOW,
THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS,
TEXAS:
Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all
things approved.
Section 2. That a meeting be, and the same is hereby, called for the 26th day of
September, 2000, at 6:00 p.m., at the Red River Valley fairgrounds in the Community Exhibit
Building, 590 E. Center Street, Paris, Texas, to vote on the tax rate.
Section 3. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage.
