2001-179-RES APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO ONE TO CONTRACT FOR EASTGATE SUBDIVISION ST AND DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS
RESOLUTION NO. 2001-179
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
PARIS, TEXAS, APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO. ONE TO THE
CONTRACT FOR THE EASTGATE SUBDIVISION STREET AND
DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND
PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 13th day of July,
2000, in Resolution No. 2000-103, award the contract for the "Eastgate Subdivision, TDHCA
#719068, Street Paving and Drainage Improvement Project" to Hilliard & Sons Contractors, Inc.;
and,
WHEREAS, the City's consulting engineer and former Interim City Engineer, Frank Davis,
acting as project engineer, recommends the amendment of the contract for said project to reconcile
the cost and revise the quantity of seeding and fertilizer for erosion control ofthe streets and drainage
ways, including along the east side of 47th Street, providing for a net decrease of$8,130.00 in the
contract price, for a total contract price of $352,594.00; and,
WHEREAS, the form of Change Order No. One, attached hereto as Exhibit A, should, in
all things, be approved, and the Mayor should be authorized to execute the same; NOW,
THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS,
TEXAS:
Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things
approved.
Section 2. That the form of Change Order No. One to the Contract for the "Eastgate
Subdivision, TDHCA #719068, Street Paving and Drainage Improvement Project," attached hereto
as Exhibit A, to reconcile the cost and revise the quantity of seeding and fertilizer for erosion control
of the streets and drainage ways, including along the east side of 47th Street, providing for a net
decrease of$8, 130.00 in the contract price, for a total contract price of$352,594.00, be, and the same
is hereby, approved.
Section 3. That the Mayor be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute, on behalf
of the City of Paris, said Change Order No. One, upon the terms and conditions and in the form
shown in Exhibit A, attached hereto.
Section 4. That this resolution shall be effective from and after the date of passage.
