Call meeting to order. 2. Approval of minutes from previous meetings. (January 2, 2018) 3. Public hearing to consider of and take action on the petition of Michelle Giles, on Lot 10, 11, 12A, Block 176, being located at 451 SW 3rd Street. The petition requested a variance of Section 11.5-3 (b)(1)(a) of the Fence Ordinance which provides as follows: (b) Fence heights: (1) Front yardfence requirements. a. No fence shall be permitted in the front yard with the following exceptions: i. On lots zoned historic overlay district (HD) and in accordance with the design standards adopted by the historic preservation commission. ii. On lots in excess of two (2) acres in size which are used for single-family residential purposes. iii. On lots which are zoned and used for LI or HI purposes, The applicant is proposing to install a fi-ont yard fence at 451 SW 3d Street. This property is not located in the historic overlay district, the lot does not exceed two (2) acres and is not zoned for industrial purposes. The applicant is requesting a variance to allow a front yard fence at 451 SW 3"' Street. Additionally, the petition requested a variance of Section 11.5-3 (b)(1)(C) of the Fence Ordinance which provides as follows: (b) Fence heights: (1) Front yardfience requirements, c. In residentially zoned areas, no fence over forty-two (42) inches in height above the average grade of the yard shall be permitted from the front building line to the street right-of-way line, The applicant is proposing to install a forty-eight (48) inch front yard fence, The applicant is asking for a six (6) inch variance in height. 4. Public hearing to consider of and take action on the petition of Lesily Goodman on Lot 38, Block 70-B, being located at 420 NE 16'h Street. The petition requested a variance of Section 9-501 (1) of the Zoning Ordinance which provides that "A Two -Family District (2F) requires a minimum 25, foot front yard setback line," The applicant is seeking a 9 foot setback from the property line in order to construct a 12' x 21' carport. The carport would be approximately 16 feet from the back of the curb,. Additionally, the petition requested a variance of Section 13-101(b) of the Zoning Ordinance which provides that "There shall be a side yard not less than three (3) feet from any side lot line. The applicant is seeking a I foot variance for the side yard. The proposed carport would be approximately 2 feet frown the side lot line. 5. Adjournment.
