RESOLUTION NO. 2001-143
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
PARIS, TEXAS, APPROVING CHANGE OF COUNCIL MEETING DATE;
MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE
SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, it is deemed appropriate that, in lieu of two separate meetings, the regular
Monday meeting ofthe City Council scheduled for October 8, 2001, be consolidated with the regular
Thursday meeting of the City Council, such that a single meeting be scheduled for October 4, 200 I;
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS,
TEXAS:
Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble of this resolution are hereby in all things
approved.
Section 2. That the regular Monday meeting of the City Council scheduled for October 8,
2001, be, and the same is hereby, consolidated with the regular Thursday meeting of the City
Council, such that a single meeting be scheduled for October 4,2001, at 6:00 o'clock p.m.
Section 3. That a copy ofthis Resolution be placed on the City Hall Bulletin Board giving
notice ofthe rescheduling ofthe regular Thursday August Council meeting, and that the news media
be informed of the rescheduled date in the same manner they are informed of emergency City
Council meetings.
Section 4. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage.
