2001-146-RES APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO ONE TO CONTRACT WITH STEPHENS & SONS FOR LONG AVENUE WATER, SEWER AND STREET IMPROVMENT PROJECT
RESOLUTION NO. 2001-146
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
PARIS, TEXAS, APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO. ONE TO THE
CONTRACT WITH STEPHENS & SONS CONCRETE FOR THE LONG
AVENUE WATER, SEWER, AND STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT;
MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE
SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 11th day of
December, 2000, in Resolution No. 2000-182, award the contract for "Long Avenue Water,
Sewer, and Street Improvement Project" to Stephens & Sons Concrete; and,
WHEREAS, the Acting City Engineer, Frank Davis, acting as project engineer,
recommends the amendment of the contract for said project to reflect a square foot change in Item
#3 of the paving and drainage portion of the unit price schedule, providing for a net increase of
$1,009.97 in the contract price, for a total contract price of $56,403.97; and,
WHEREAS, the form of Change Order No. One, attached hereto as Exhibit A, should,
in all things, be approved, and the Mayor should be authorized to execute the same; NOW,
THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS,
TEXAS:
Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all
things approved.
Section 2. That the form of Change Order No. One to the Contract with Stephens & Sons
Concrete for the "Long Avenue Water, Sewer, and Street Improvement Project, " attached hereto
as Exhibit A, to reflect a square foot change in Item #3 of the paving and drainage portion of the
unit price schedule, and providing for a net increase of $1,009.97 in the contract price, for a total .
contract price of $56,403.97, be, and the same is hereby, approved.
Section 3. That the Mayor be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute, on
behalf of the City of Paris, said Change Order No. One, upon the terms and conditions and in the
form shown in Exhibit A, attached hereto.
Section 4. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage.
