1998-001-AIRPORT TAXI AND HANGAR IMPROVEMENTS RESOLUTION NO. 98-001 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 10th day of July, 1995, in Resolution 95-078, request financial assistance for taxiway improvements, navigational aids, and terminal reconstruction at Cox Field Airport, Paris, Texas, from the State of Texas through the Texas Department of Transportation, Aviation Division; and, WHEREAS, said grant was accepted on September 19, 1995, by the execution of the Texas Department of Transportation Airport Project Participation Agreement, TxDOT Project No. AP PARIS 4, TxDOT CSJ No. 9601PARIS, between the State of Texas, through the Texas Department of Transportation, and the City of Paris; and, WHEREAS, bids for furnishing plant, labor, materials, and equipment, and performing all work required for the "Cox Field Airport Taxiway and Hangar Access Lane Improvements" Project were received until 2:00 o'clock p.m., Tuesday, January 6, 1998; and, WHEREAS, the best bid for such construction was made by Buster Paving Company, Inc., of Sulphur Springs, Texas, and it should be awarded the bid for the same following formal Texas Department of Transportation concurrence; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that the bid of Buster Paving Company, Inc. for the "Cox Field Airport Taxiway and Hangar Access Lane Improvements" Project, being a part of TxDOT Project No. AP PARIS 4, TxDOT CSJ No. 9601 PARIS, in the amount of $164,853.65, be, and the same is hereby, accepted and let following formal Texas Department of Transportation concurrence, conditioned upon said contractor meeting all of the terms and specifications included in the bid documents.
