WHEREAS, the general escriptio of the aforesaid project is to perf~rm vWious pavement
improvements and hangar const ction at ox field Airport; and, I!

WHEREAS, the City f Paris in ends to request financial assismce rrom the Texas
Department of Transportation, viation ivision, in the form of a Feder lly ~ssisted Airport
Development Grant or otherwis , to defray a p0rtion of the cost of these im ! ove~ents; and,

WHEREAS, the total pr ~ect cost is currently estimated at $622,223,ob an~ the City of Paris
will be responsible for a portion fthe total roject cost with such local funds ~ontri~ution estimated
to be $105,556,00; and, I I

WHEREAS, the City C unci! fin s and determines that it is appro~riat~ and in the best
interest of the City to authorize a plication or said grant and the subsequent itple~entation of said

hereby authorized and directed t execute 0 behalf of the City of Paris at the appr!Priate time, all
grant applications, contracts an agreeme ts with the State of Texas, an · and all other
documents associated therewith shall be n cessary to complete the aforesaid ran. application and
to accept and implement said gr t if same hall be approved on behalf of th Cit)j of Paris.
Section 4. That the tot project ost is estimated to be $622,22 ,00, ~th the City's

projected estimated contribution f$105,55 .00, and the authorization for th exp~nditure of such
funds as a local share upon ap roval of e final grant document by the exasl Department of
Transportation, shall be and is h reby in all things approved.
. Section 5. That the City ouncil 0 the City of Paris, by adoption of this ~esolution, does
hereby name the Texas Departm nt ofTran portation as its agent for the poses lof applying for,
receiving, and disbursing all fu ds for th aforementioned airport impro emehts and for the
administration of contracts neces ary for th implementation of said improve ent~.
Section 6. That this reso ution shal be effective from and after its d~e oflpassage.
