2005-046-RES APPOINTING A MEMBER TO THE AIRPORT ADVISORY BOARD TO SERVE THE UEXPIRED TERM OF VICTOR ABELES
RESOLUTION NO. 2005-046
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
PARIS, TEXAS, APPOINTING A MEMBER TO THE AIRPORT ADVISORY
BOARD TO SERVE THE UNEXPIRED TERM OF VICTOR ABELES,
WmCH EXPIRES DECEMBER 31, 2005; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS
AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, there exists a vacancy on the membership of the Airport Advisory Board
of the City of Paris due to the resignation of Victor Abeles, and it is necessary to appoint his
successor; and,
WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Paris does hereby recommend the appointment of
Capt. Jack K. Ashmore to serve the unexpired term of Victor Abeles, which ends December 31,
2005; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS,
TEXAS:
Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things
approved.
Section 2. That Capt. Jack Ashmore be, and he is hereby, appointed to serve the
unexpired term of Victor Abeles, which ends December 31, 2005, as a member of the Airport
Advisory Board of the City of Paris.
Section 3. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage.
