SUBJECT: APPOINTMENT TO MAIN STREET ADVISORY BOARD

BACKGROUND: Policies and Procedures for Boards, Commissions, and Committees adopted
by City Council require that appointments be made at the second regular City Council meeting in
June,
s'rATUS OF ISSUE: Code Kelly was appointed to fill the unexpired term of Phillip Peeples on
September 26, 2016. Due to a newjob, Mr. Kelly recently informed the Main Street Director he
was unable to serve on the board. This leaves the Main Street Advisory Board with a vacant
position of a term that expires June 3 )0, 2019.
City staff advertised for the vacancy through the Paris News, E -Paris Extra, the City's web -site
and radio stations. Applications were received Irom Jay Kevin Ashmore, Jenny Wilson, and
Lauren Cot -bell.
BUDGET: N/A
RECOMMENDATION: Appoint a member to fill the vacancy on the Main Street Advisory
Board.
