2005-041-RES APPOINTING AND REAPPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE PARIS-LAMAR COUNTY BOARD OF HEALTH
RESOLUTION NO. 2005-041
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
PARIS, TEXAS, APPOINTING AND REAPPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE
PARIS-LAMAR COUNTY BOARD OF HEALTH; MAKING OTHER
FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the terms of office of Dr. David Carpenter, Rae Jackson, Larry Reaves, Dr.
ordon B. Strom, Jr., and Caroline Wilson, as members of the Paris-Lamar County Board of
ealth, have expired; and,
WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Paris, with the advice of the County Judge of
amar County, Texas, does hereby recommend the reappointment of Dr. David Carpenter,
arry Reaves, Dr. Gordon B. Strom, Jr., and Caroline Wilson, and the appointment of Denise
illiams as members of the Paris-Lamar County Board of Health for terms ending December
1,2006, or until such time as their successors shall be appointed, whichever is greater; NOW,
HEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS,
EXAS, AND THE COMMISSIONERS COURT OF THE COUNTY OF LAMAR:
Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all
t ings approved.
Section 2. That Dr. David Carpenter, Larry Reaves, Dr. Gordon B. Strom, Jr., and
aroline Wilson be, and they are hereby, reappointed and that Denise Williams be, and she is
ereby, appointed as members of the Paris-Lamar County Board of Health for terms ending
ecember 31, 2006, or until such time as their successors shall be appointed, whichever is
eater.
Section 3. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage.
