2005-018-RES NOMINATING A CANDIDATE FOR MEMBERSHIP ON THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE LAMAR COUNTY APPRAISAL DISTRICT TO FILL UNEXPIRED TERM OF BOBBY WALTERS
RESOLUTION NO. 2005-018
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
PARIS, TEXAS, NOMINATING A CANDIDATE FOR MEMBERSHIP ON
THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE LAMAR COUNTY APPRAISAL
DISTRICT TO FILL THE UNEXPIRED TERM OF BOBBY WALTERS;
MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE
SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris has been asked to nominate a
candidate for membership on the Board of Directors of the Lamar County Appraisal District to
fill the unexpired term of Bobby Walters; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is desirous of nominating Jay Guest; NOW,
THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS,
TEXAS:
Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things
approved.
Section 2. That Jay Guest be, and he is hereby, nominated to serve as a member of the
Board of Directors of the Lamar County Appraisal District to fill the unexpired term of Bobby
Walters.
Section 3. That the City Clerk, be, and she is hereby, directed to timely deliver a copy
of this Resolution to the Lamar County Appraisal District.
Section 4. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage.
