City of Paris
The Traffic Commission met on Tuesday November 07, 2017 at 5,15 P.M. in the
Municipal Courtroom with the following members present.,

Wendell Moore

Sally Boswell

Susan Hamby

Bill Sanders
The city staff was represented by Asst. Chief Randy Tuttle and City Engineer
Carla Easton.
Chairperson Susan, Hamby called the meeting to order at 5:17pm. A quorum was
established with four members present.
Ms. Hamby then moved to item #2 regarding approving minutes from the October
03, 2017 meeting. Mr. Moore made a motion to approve minutes and' second
was made by Ms. Boswell. Motion carried 4-0.
Ms. Hamby then moved to item #3 regarding discussion and possible action
concerning installation of stop signs at 18th NE & Fairfax. Mr. Tuttle informed
members that a request was received by the Traffic Department from a citizen
requesting stop signs at the intersection. Mr. Tuttle advised that the intersection
currently has no traffic control device and the intersection warrants stop signs.
After discussion Mr. Moore made a motion to request city council place stops
signs on 18th NE to stop traffic on 18th. The motion was second by Ms. Boswell
and carried 4-0.
Ms. Hamby then moved to item #4 regarding old business. Mr.Sanders asked
about the changes on S. Collegiate discussed at October meeting. Ms. Easton
stated the restriping and signage had been scheduled.
Ms. Hamby moved to item #5 regarding request for future agenda items. There
were none.
At 5:24pm Ms. Hamby moved to adjourn the meeting. Mr. Sanders made a
motion to adjourn with a second from Mr. Moore. Motion carried 4-0.
