1997-049-RES WHEREAS, CITY COUNCIL DID HERETOFORE ON THE 15TH DAY OF JULY 1996
RESOLUTION NO. 97 -049
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 15th day of July,
1996, in Resolution No, 96-067, award the contract for the "Rehabilitation and Painting of 2
Two Million Gallon Steel Ground Storage Water Tanks," Project No. 92-WSRB02-96, to
CORROSION ELIMINATORS; and,
WHEREAS, the City Engineer of the City of Paris, Earl Smith, acting as project engineer
of said project, recommends the amendment of the contract for the same to remove 60 severely
deteriorated "c" section roof rafters in the south ground storage tank, to furnish new "C" Sections,
to surface prepare, paint, and install 60 new "C" section roof rafters in the south ground storage
tank, and to provide for a net increase of $11,000.00 in the contract price, for a total contract
price of $470,913.00; and,
WHEREAS, the form of Change Order No. Two, attached hereto as Exhibit A, should,
in all things, be approved, and the Mayor of the City of Paris, Eric S. Clifford, should be
authorized to execute the same; NOW, THERE)<'ORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL 01<' THE CITY OF PARIS, that the
form of Change Order No. Two to the contract for the "Rehabilitation and Painting of 2 Two
Million Gallon Steel Ground Storage Water Tanks," Project No. 92-WSRB02-96, attached
hereto as Exhibit A, to amend the contract for said project to remove 60 severely deteriorated "C"
section roof rafters in the south ground storage tank, to furnish new "C" Sections, to surface
prepare, paint, and install 60 new "C" section roof rafters in the south ground storage tank, and
to provide for a net increase of $11,000.00 in the contract price, for a total contract price of
$470,913.00, be, and the same is hereby, approved; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor of the City of Paris, Eric S. Clifford,
be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of the City of Paris, said
Change Order No. Two under the terms and conditions and in the form shown in Exhibit A,
attached hereto.
