Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Paris shall meet in regular session
at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, June 11, 2018. The meeting will be held at the City Council
Chamber, 107 E. Kaufinan Street, in Paris, Texas, The matters to be discussed and acted
upon are as follows:
Opening Agenda
1. Call meeting to order.
2. Invocation.
3. Pledge of Allegiance.
4. Citizens' forum.
(Persons desiring to address the Council must limit their presentation to no more than two minutes. Unless
an item is posted on the Agenda, the Texas Open Meetings Act prohibits the Council from responding to
any comments other than to refer the matter to a future agenda, to an existing policy, or to a staff person
with specific factual information, Claims against the City, Council Members, or employees, as well as
individual personnel appeals are not appropriate for citizens' forum.)
If necessary, the City Council may convene into Executive Session under Chapter 551 of the Texas
Government Code regarding any item on this agenda.
Consent Agenda
Items on the Consent Agenda are approved by a single action of the Council, with such approval applicable
to all items appearing on the Consent Agenda. A Council Member may request any item to be removed
from the Consent Agenda and considered as a separate item.
5. Approve minutes from the meeting on May 14, 2018.
6. Receive reports and/or minutes from the following boards and commissions:
a. Paris Economic Development Corporation (3-2-2018 & 4-20-2018)
b. Building & Standards Commission (4-16-2018)
c. Historic Preservation Commission (4-11-2018 & 5-9-2018)
d. Airport Advisory Board (4-19-2018)

7'. Receive April monthly financial report.
8. Approve transfer of Ground Lease from PTERODACTYL, L.L.C. (Hangar S) to Erik
Zarones.
9. Approve a Resolution Authorizing the Extension of the Grant to the Automobile Burglary
and Theft Prevention Authority for continuation of the North Texas Auto Theft Task
Force,
Regular Agenda
10. Conduct a public hearing on the TxCDBG Dickson Orange Street Project for Grant
Closeout.
11. Conduct a public hearing to receive comment about a proposed Hazardous Cargo Route
Designation.
12. Discuss and award a bid for reconstruction of portions, of S. Collegiate, 33", S.E., and
Graham Streets to Richard Drake Construction in an arnOUnt not to exceed 5920,000.
13. Receive presentation from Main Street Advisory Board about completed improvements
downtown and a 2018 plan of work,
14. Discuss and act on an Ordinance Adopting the 2009 Design Standards for Historic
Districts.
15. Discuss and act on a procedure for appointing individuals to serve as council officers, and
to serve on city council -appointed boards, committees, and commissions, and clarifying
the selection process of boards and commissions for the 2018 year.
16. Receive and discuss annual departmental reports from Public Works, Engineering,
Utilities, and Finance.
17. Discuss and act on an Ordinance Amending Section 34-22(b), Water Rates, Section 3,4-
23 (a)(b)(c), Sewer Rates to reflect changes recommended by the 2018 Water and Sewer
Rate Study.
18. Consider and approve future events for City Council and/or City Staff pursuant to
Resolution No. 2004-081.
