1997-123-RES WHEREAS, CITY COUNCIL DID HERETOFORE ON THE 6TH DAY OF OCTOBER 1994

RESOLUTION NO. 97-123
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 6th day of
October, 1994, in Resolution No. 94-101, authorize the application for a grant to fund
construction for a sedimentation and pollution basin entitled "PLUM STREET 1900 BLOCK
SURFACE WATER RUNOFF POLLUTION AND FLOOD MITIGATION PROJECT,"
TXOOT Project No. CSJ 0901-29-905, in accordance with plans and specifications prepared by
HA YTER ENGINEERING, INC., Paris, Texas; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 12th day of June,
1995, in Resolution No. 95-051, authorize the execution of the Statewide Transportation
Enhancement Program Agreement with the State of Texas, acting by and through the Texas
Department of Transportation, for said project; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did, heretofore, on the 14th day of July,
1997, in Resolution No. 97-075, approve such plans and specifications for said drainage project,
o WHEREAS, such plans and specifications have been modified by HA ITER
ENGINEERING, which modified plans and specifications are recommended for approval by the
City Engineer of the City of Paris; and,
WHEREAS, it is deemed appropriate that such modified plans and specifications be, in
all things, approved and that such project be authorized for re-advertisement for bids; NOW,
THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY 01' PARIS, that the
modified plans and specifications for the "PLUM STREET 1900 BLOCK SURFACE WATER
RUNOFF POLLUTION AND FLOOD MITIGATION PROJECT," TXOOT Project No. CSJ
0901-29-905, be, and the same are hereby, approved; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that such drainage project be re-advertised for bids to
be received after due notice at the office of the City Manager of the City of Paris, City Hall, 135
1st Street S.E., Paris, Texas 75460, until 10:00 o'clock a.m. on Wednesday, November 5, 1997,
at which time said bids will be opened in the City Council Chamber, City Hall, 135 1st Street
S.E., Paris, Lamar County, Texas, and said bids will be tabulated and presented to the City
Council on the 10th day of November, 1997, for the purpose of making recommendation to award
the project to the lowest bidder.
