1997-102-RES WHEREAS, BYLAWS OF THE TEXAS MUNICIPAL LEAGUE GROUP BENEFITS RISK POOL PROVIDES FOR (3)

RESOLUTION NO. 97-102
WHEREAS, the bylaws of the Texas Municipal League Group Benefits Risk Pool provides
for three (3) year staggered terms of office for members of its Board of Trustees, with members
from TML Regions 12, 13, 14, 15, and 16 expiring on October 1, 1997; and,
WHEREAS, as a member of the pool for Region 15, the City of Paris was provided an
opportunity to nominate from among its employees or elected officials an individual to serve on
such Board; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 14th day of July,
1997, in Resolution No. 97-081, nominate W. E. Anderson, Director of Finance; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Paris must now cast its vote for a candidate, and it is deemed
appropriate that such vote be cast for W. E. Anderson, Director of Finance; NOW,
THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that the
City of Paris's vote for a candidate to serve on the Board of Trustees of the Texas Municipal
League Group Benefits Risk Pool be, and the same is hereby, cast for W. E. Anderson, Director
of Finance of the City of Paris; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor of the City of Paris, Eric S. Clifford, be,
and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of the City of Paris, the ballot for
such election in the form shown in Exhibit A, attached hereto.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 8th day of September, 1997.
