RESOLUTION NO. 97-101
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris is desirous of cooperating with the
United States Government in providing additional services to the flying public and users of the
City's municipal airport; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 28th day of
September, 1987, in Resolution No. 87-102, authorize the execution of the U. S. Government
Lease for Real Property for T -hangar office space at Cox Field Airport for a term of one (1) year,
beginning October 1, 1987, and ending September 30, 1988, with the right to extend the same
from year to year up to September 30, 1997; and,
WHEREAS, such lease was continued annually, and will expire on September 30, 1997;
and,
WHEREAS, the U. S. Government is desirous of amending said Lease for Real Property
to extend the term thereof for a period of one (1) year beginning October 1, 1997, and ending
September 30, 1998, with the right to extend the same from year to year up to September 30,
2007; and,
WHEREAS, the form of the Supplemental Agreement No.1, attached hereto as Exhibit
A, should, in all things, be approved, and the Mayor of the City of Paris, Eric S. Clifford, should
be authorized to execute the same; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that the
form of the Supplemental Agreement No.1, amending the U. S. Government Lease for Real
Property for T-hangar office space at Cox Field Airport, dated September 28, 1987, to extend the
term thereof for a period of one (1) year beginning October 1, 1997, and ending September 30,
1998, with the right to extend the same from year to year up to September 30, 2007, be, and the
same is hereby, approved; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor of the City of Paris, Eric S. Clifford, be
and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of the City of Paris, the
Supplemental Agreement No. 1 under the terms and conditions and in the form shown in Exhibit
A, attached hereto.

SUPPLEMENT AT. AGREEMENT NO. I
THIS SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT, made and entered into this 8th
day of S~pt~mb~r, 199.lo by and between the CITY OF PARIS, whose address is P.O.
Box 9037, Paris, Texas 75461, for itself, its successors, and assigns, hereinafter called the
Lessor, and the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, represented by the Federal Aviation
Administration, hereinafter referred to as the Government, WITNESSETH, That:
WHEREAS, on the 1 st day of October, 1987, the parties hereto entered into Lease
No. DTF A07 -88-L-0 1 00 I, for the consideration and purposes more particularly stated in
said lease; and
WHEREAS, Lease No. DTFA07-88-L-01001 expires by its own terms on
September 30,1997.
NOW THEREFORE, the parties hereto mutually desire to amend the basic lease,
as amended, in the following particulars only, VIZ:
a. Article 2 is changed to read: "To have and to hold the said premises with their
appurtenances for the term beginning on October 1,1997, through September 30,1998,
subject to termination and renewal rights as may be hereinafter set forth."
b. A portion of Article 9 is changed to read "PROVIDED that no renewal shall
extend this lease beyond the 30th day of September 2007."

ALL OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS of the basic lease are hereby ratified
and except as amended hereinabove shall be and remain the same.
