Bids were received and publicly opened at 3:00 p.m. on 07/24/2018. STATUS OF ISSUE: Bids were advertised in The Paris News on 06/24/2018 and 07/01/2018, and published on the City of Paris Department of Utilities website; bid packets were direct mailed to sixty-one (61) vendors; twenty-nine (29) bids from twenty (20) vendors were submitted. Low bids received: Chlorine, $770.00/ton, Brenntag Southwest, Inc.; Alum, $202.95/ton, Affinity Chemical, LLC.; Ammonia, $1,295.00/ton, Tanner Industries, Inc.; Bulk Lime, $187.76/ton, Texas Lime Company; Bagged Lime, $300.00/ton, Texas Lime Company; Powdered Activated Carbon, $0.500/lb., Cabot Norit Americas; Sulfur Dioxide, $770.00/ton, Brenntag Southwest, Inc.; Sodium Hydroxide, $718.00/ton, Brenntag Southwest, Inc.; Polymer, $1.13/lb., Polydyne, Inc.; Fluoride, $1.93/gal, Penceo, Inc.
