1996-056-RES WHEREAS, CITY COUNCIL DID HERETOFORE AUTHORIZED PREPARATION OF PLANS
RESOLUTION NO. 96-056
WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of Paris, did heretofore authorize the
preparation of plans and specifications for a project of rehabilitation and painting of two -
two million gallon steel ground storage water tanks; and,
WHEREAS, such plans and specifications have been prepared by Earl Smith, City
Engineer, with the title being given thereto of "Rehabilitation and Painting of Two - Two
Million GaUon Steel Ground Storage Water Tanks" Project No. 92-WSRB02-96, which
plans and specifications are recommended for approval by the City Engineer of the City
of Paris; and,
WHEREAS, such plans and specifications should be approved and such project
should be authorized for advertisement for bids; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that
the plans and specifications for the "Rehabilitation and Painting of Two - Two Million
Gallon Steel Ground Storage Water Tanks-1996" Project No. 92-WSRB02-96 be, and
the same are hereby, approved; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that such rehabilitation and painting project be
advertised for bids to be received after due notice at the office of the City Manager of the
City of Paris, City Hall, 135 1st Street S.E., Paris, Texas 75460, until 3:00 p.m. on
Tuesday, July 2, 1996, at which time said bids will be opened in the City Council
Chamber, City Hall, 135 1st Street S.E., Paris, Lamar County, Texas, and bids will be
tabulated and presented to the City Council on the 15th day of July, 1996, for the purpose
of letting such bid.
