1996-045-RES WHEREAS, CITY COUNCIL HAS BEEN MADE AWARE OF THE FACT THAT LOTS 1-4
RESOLUTION NO. 96-045
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris has been made aware of the fact
that Lots 1-4, City Block 257-D; Lots 1-4, Block 7, Spring lake Addition; and Lots 1-7,
Block 8, Springlake Addition, within the corporate limits of the City of Paris, have a
zoning classification of ONE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT 2 (SF-2); and,
WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the best interest of the citizens of Paris that such
zoning classification be reviewed by the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of
Paris and in the event that the same should be changed to a PLANNED DEVELOPMENT
DISTRICT RETAIL SHOPPING CENTER (PDa) classification that such recommendation
should be made to the City Council for final action; and,
WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that a public hearing be set before the Planning
and Zoning Commission at 5:30 p.m., in the City Council Room, City Hall, Paris, Texas
on the 3rd day of June, 1996, and before the City Council at 6:00 p.m. on the 10th day
of June, 1996; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL 01<' THE CITY OF PARIS, that
the matter of appropriate zoning on Lots 1-4, City Block 257-D; Lots 1-4, Block 7,
Spring lake Addition, and Lots 1-7, Block 8, Spring lake Addition, be, and the same is
hereby referred to the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Paris for its
recommendation concerning the proper zoning of the same; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a public hearing be held by and before the
Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Paris at 5:30 p.m., in the City Council
Room, City Hall, Paris, Texas on the 3rd day of June, 1996, and a public hearing be held
by and before the City Council of the City of Paris at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Room,
City Hall, Paris, Texas on the 10th day of June, 1996, said public hearings to be held
concerning appropriate zoning on said property.
