1996-040-RES WHEREAS, THERE ARE OUT OF TOWN MEETINGS SCHEDULED FOR THE FIRST WEEK IN JUNE 1996 INVOLVING STAFF
RESOLUTION NO. 96-040
WHEREAS, there are out of town meetings scheduled for the first week in June, 1996,
involving staff members; and,
WHEREAS, it would be appropriate for the Regular Thursday Council meeting which
would normally be scheduled for the Thursday following the first Monday of the month, which
would be June 6, 1996, to be consolidated with the regular Monday meeting which is scheduled
for June 10, 1996; and,
WHEREAS, past experience tells us it is difficult to get a quorum for the week of the
July 4th holiday for board, commission and council meetings; and,
WHEREAS, it would be appropriate for the Planning and Zoning Commission Meeting
scheduled for July I, 1996, to be held on Monday, July 8, 1996, and the Regular Thursday
Council meeting which would normally be scheduled for the Thursday following the first
Monday of the month, which would be July 4, 1996, to be held on Thursday, July 11, 1996,
and the Regular Monday Council meeting which would normally be scheduled for July 8, 1996,
to be held on Monday, July 15, 1996; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL 0"'" THE CITY OF PARIS, that the
regular Thursday Council meeting scheduled for June 6, 1996, be, and the same is hereby
consolidated with the regular Monday, June 10, 1996, meeting to be held at 6:00 o'clock p.m.;
and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Planning and Zoning Commission Meeting
scheduled for Monday, July 1,1996, be, and the same is hereby, rescheduled for Monday, July
8, 1996, to be held at 5:30 p.m.; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the regular Thursday Council meeting scheduled
for July 4, 1996, be, and the same is hereby, rescheduled for Thursday, July 11, 1996, to be
held at 6:00 o'clock p.m., and that the regular Monday Council meeting scheduled for July 8,
1996, be, and the same is hereby, rescheduled for Monday, July 15, 1996, to be held at 6:00
o'clock p.m.; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution be placed on the City
Hall Bulletin Board giving notice of the rescheduling of the regular Thursday June Council
meeting, and the rescheduling of the Planning & Zonning Commission and City Council
meetings for July, and that the news media be informed of the rescheduled date in the same
manner they are informed of emergency City Council meetings.
