1996-031-RES WHEREAS, CITY COUNCIL DID HERETOFORE IN RESOLUTION NO 95-102
RESOLUTION NO. 96-031
WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of Paris, did heretofore in Resolution
No. 95-102, on September 11, 1995, accept the Texas Recreation & Parks Account
Program grant for the Paris Municipal Pool Project Number 50-00060 through the Texas
Parks & Wildlife Department which required the preparation of plans and specifications
for the construction of a municipal swimming pool; and,
WHEREAS, such plans and specifications have been prepared by C. T. Brannon
Corporation, with the title being given thereto of "PARIS AQUATIC CENTER" project
No. 40-43-98-0950-1996, which plans and specifications are recommended for approval
by the City Engineer of the City of Paris; and,
WHEREAS, such plans and specifications should be approved and such project
should be authorized for advertisement for bids; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL O~- THE CITY OF PARIS, that
the plans and specifications for the "PARIS AQUA TIC CENTER" Project No. 40-43-98-
0950-1996 be, and the same are hereby, approved; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that such construction project be advertised for
bids to be received after due notice at the office of the City Manager of the City of Paris,
City Hall, 135 1st Street S.E., Paris, Texas 75460, until 3:00 o'clock p.m. on Tuesday,
June 4, 1996, at which time said bids will be opened in the City Council Chamber. City
Hall, 135 1st Street S.E., Paris, Lamar County, Texas, and bids will be tabulated and
presented to the City Council on the 10th day of June, 1996, for the purpose of letting
such bid.
